Biography

A photographer, Noelle specializes in the 19thcentury process of cyanotype and analog printing. Her images have been included in exhibits in North Carolina, Georgia, South Dakota and BC as well as online. Noelle lives and works in Penticton, BC.

“Working in alternative photographic processes is what I love to do. Creating imagery bound to reality through a negative or object is my goal. For example, cyanotypes are affected by the amount of light and type of materials used when creating them. The resulting images are unpredictable—they vary with time, are affected by the people, structures, and weather surrounding and disturbing them, and they cling to their identity. The final effect is a synthesis of material, light, and negative—an image revealing its strength and beauty and ability to adapt.”
